2023 Yearbook of Engineering Achievement

This award celebrates the projects that have elevated the AEC industry through community and environmental impact, innovative technical processes, or groundbreaking vision and execution.

The voting period runs from October 27th through November 10th. During this time, please vote for the projects you think demonstrate the best of the best from the AEC industry in 2023. Winners will be selected based on the number of votes received over the two-week voting period. Each category will feature at least 3 winning projects (if possible). The project that earns the most votes overall will be awarded the 2023 Summit Project.

Categories

  1. Housing/Residential
  2. Transportation/Infrastructure
  3. Environmental/Sustainability
  4. Water/Stormwater/Wastewater
  5. Small Firm (less than 50 employees)

Eligibility

Firms are encouraged to submit any project that was completed, or is scheduled to be completed, before the end of the 2023 calendar year.  Firms are encouraged to submit multiple projects, but are limited to one entry per category.

Submission Process

There is no fee to enter the 2023 YEA competition.  To enter, firms must complete and submit the project information form.  This form contains questions about the project such as location, work dates, budget information, team members, among a few others.  To view and download the project information form, please see the link below.  Firms are also encouraged to submit any media assets associated with the project such as photography and video.  There will be space provided to submit media assets along with the project information form.  At least one photo or video is required per submission.  See below for media requirements.

Voting

Submissions will be hosted on csengineermag.com/yea for the duration of the voting period. The voting period runs from October 27th through November 10th. During this time, our audience will be encouraged to vote for the projects they think demonstrates the best of the best from the AEC industry in 2023.  Website visitors can vote once per day per project, and winners will be selected based on the number of votes received over the two-week voting period.  Each category will feature at least 3 winning projects. The project that earns the most votes overall will be awarded the 2023 Summit Project.

Publicity

The winning projects will be announced with the publication of the December 2023 issue of Civil+Structural Engineer Magazine with each of the winning projects having their own page on our website.  In addition, all submissions will be hosted on the website for the duration of the voting period.  The project selected as the 2023 Summit Project will be featured on the cover of Civil+Structural Engineer Magazine’s December issue.

Media

Images must be at least 300 dpi at 10 inches tall, or larger, in JPG, EPS, PSD, or TIFF format.

Voting

  1. Review the digital project book above carefully and select your preferred projects. You are encouraged to vote for projects in multiple categories. (Tip: you can expand the Flipbook and zoom in for better visibility)
  2. Take note of the page number for each of your chosen projects.
  3. Proceed to the voting section below and locate your chosen projects (corresponding page numbers are located in the top left corner of each image). Click vote.
  4. You are permitted to vote once a day(every 24 hours) until November 10th. Happy voting!

Voting will close November 10th at 11:59pm.
